Harkness Fellowships in Health Care Policy and Practice

The Commonwealth Fund's Harkness Fellowships in Health Care Policy and Practice provide a unique opportunity for mid-career health services researchers and practitioners from Australia, Germany, the Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Switzerland, and the United Kingdom to spend up to 12 months in the United States, conducting original research and working with leading U.S. health policy experts. Call for applications for the 2010–11 Harkness Fellowship cycle is now closed. The application for the 2011–12 cycle will be available in early 2010.

Hedda Van't Land (N.L.)

Hedda Van't Land, Ph.D, a 2009–10 Commonwealth Fund Harkness Fellow in Health Care Policy and Practice, is a psychologist and methodologist and currently serves as research director of the division national monitor of mental health for the Netherlands Institute of Mental Health and Addiction. Her Harkness project focuses on access to mental health care for Latinos.
