Bruce E. Landon, M.D., M.B.A., M.Sc., is an associate professor of health care policy at Harvard Medical School and an associate professor of medicine at the Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center (BIDMC). He practices internal medicine at BIDMC. Dr. Landon focuses on three areas of research. His primary interest involves assessing the impact of different characteristics of physician and health care organizations, ranging from health plans to physician group practices, on the provision of health care services. In related work, he is examining the impact of organizational and market characteristics on physician decision making and career satisfaction. For this work, he collaborates with several major health plans throughout the country. Dr. Landon graduated summa cum laude from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania with a major in finance. He received his M.D. from the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine, and an M.B.A. with a concentration in health care management from the Wharton School.
