Alya Simoun, M.P.H., is a research assistant at New York State Psychiatric Institute. Her research interests focus on behavioral health integration, culturally competent care advancement, access to care for underserved populations, and arts-based participatory action research. Simoun earned an M.P.H. in the department of Health Promotion and Policy at the University of Massachusetts-Amherst School of Public Health and Health Sciences.
