Amy Killelea

Amy Killelea, J.D., is an assistant research professor at the Center on Health Insurance Reforms at Georgetown University. Their research focuses on access to affordable, adequate health coverage for people with insulin-requiring diabetes, including Type 1 diabetes. They have more than 15 years of experience in public health law and policy. Killelea began their career providing legal services to people living with HIV who faced access challenges to health care, including discrimination, affordability, and stigma. Since then, they have worked with federal, state, and local governments and community-based organizations to identify and implement systemic solutions to public health and health care access challenges, including sustainable financing solutions to expand access to HIV and hepatitis services. They are currently the owner of Killelea Consulting, providing research and policy analysis expertise focused on medication access and pricing, public health financing, and public and private insurance coverage. Killelea earned a B.A. from Smith College and a J.D. from the Georgetown University Law Center.
