Erin Durkin is a health care correspondent for the National Journal. Her project will focus on how tribal governments and health organizations are grappling with the mental health toll the pandemic has placed on American Indian and Alaska Native communities. Ms. Durkin plans on following the money that Congress has allocated to tribal nations in the various relief packages to see how that money has been applied to mental health.
