Karen Brown is a health reporter at WFCR/New England Public Radio, where she has worked since 1998. Her features and radio documentaries have appeared on National Public Radio, American RadioWorks, Marketplace, and other national outlets. She also freelances for print publications, including The Boston Globe and Harvard Public Health Magazine. She was previously a Knight Fellow in Science Journalism at MIT and a Kaiser Media Fellow, and has won several national reporting awards.

Karen's project studied how primary care physicians are being prepared for a future that puts them at the center of an increasingly complex health landscape.
