Mat Kelley, M.A., is a program associate for the Commonwealth Fund’s International Health Policy and Practice Innovations team. In this role, he provides comprehensive support to the Harkness Fellowships, including managing recruitment and selection processes, coordinating fellowship activities, supporting alumni engagement, and overseeing program administration. He also offers broader programmatic support to the International Health Policy team, encompassing grants management, administrative operations, and coordination of international health policy initiatives. Prior to joining the Commonwealth Fund, Kelley served as a policy and communications specialist with the HIV and Health team at the United Nations Development Programme. His work there focused on reducing inequalities, promoting effective health governance, and building resilient health systems, particularly through initiatives in collaboration with civil society organizations at the intersection of HIV, human rights, and the law. Kelley earned an M.A. in international affairs from the Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy at the National University of Singapore.
