JAWS Annual Conference Sponsorship & Healthcare Journalism Mentorship Program

This grant will support: 1. A health care track at CAMP — the Journalism & Women Symposium (JAWS) annual convention — taking place in Austin, Texas, in September. This will include a keynote speaker and health care/health journalism-focused sessions. 2. A fellowship program for six emerging female or nonbinary journalists from racially and ethnically diverse backgrounds that will result in published pieces from each fellow, which will be amplified by JAWS and its network. The 10-month fellowship will also include four training opportunities (one in-person and three via webinar) and ongoing one-to-one mentorship.
