The Rural Health News Service Partnership’s vision is to provide a source of unbiased health information through local and rural state press associations. As health system reform accelerates, many rural areas still lack a reliable source for localized and practical health news. The participating associations distribute them to all the member newspapers in their state. Launched in 2012 with just Nebraska as a pilot, this program has now expanded to seven states, including South Dakota, Colorado, Indiana, Illinois, Wyoming, and California.
