This grant would support three annual projects of the Association of Health Care Journalists for 2015: the annual Health Journalism conference, Rural Health Journalism Workshop, and the Regional Health Journalism Workshop. These conferences and workshops cover key topics for health care journalists such as the business of health care, immigrant health, urban health, senior health and health data. These opportunities are useful for journalists in parts of the country that do not typically have many local training opportunities on covering health and health care.
