April Grady has an extensive background in Medicaid, the Children’s Health Insurance Program, and other health policy and financing issues. With more than 15 years of experience, April helps clients in the public and private sectors successfully prepare and position themselves to meet the challenges of new and changing healthcare system policies.
Prior to joining Manatt, April was a policy director for the Medicaid and CHIP Payment and Access Commission. There, she helped develop and manage MACPAC's policy and research agenda, focusing on data issues and beneficiaries who are dually eligible for Medicare and Medicaid. She designed and conducted in-house analyses of enrollment, claims and other programmatic information, and led the production of the commission's annual data publications. Her projects covered topics including drivers of Medicaid spending growth, the quality and availability of federal data on Medicaid managed care, and eligibility and benefits for low-income Medicare enrollees.
