Assistant Lecturer, Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health

Joanne Kenen was the Commonwealth Fund Journalist in Residence at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health from 2021 to 2023. She is an assistant lecturer with the Bloomberg School and is also affiliated with the School of Nursing. She oversaw health coverage at Politico for nearly a decade, and covered health policy in Congress for Reuters. She is a contributing writer to Politico Magazine and a regular on KFF Health News’ What the Health podcast.
