Kathie Westpheling

Executive Director, Association of Clinicians for the Underserved

Kathie Westpheling, M.P.H., is the executive director of the Association of Clinicians for the Underserved (ACU). She has been with ACU since 1996, working to develop liaisons with other national, state, and local organizations and clinical networks interested in improving health care access, reducing health disparities, and developing culturally competent clinicians to serve in underserved communities. Prior to joining ACU, she worked for over 12 years at the American Medical Student Association Foundation, serving as director of the NHSC Health Promotion/Disease Prevention Project. She currently serves as vice chair of the Board of Trustees of the Campbell Hoffman Foundation, a private charitable foundation addressing access to health care. Ms. Westpheling, a 2002 Fellow of the DHHS Primary Care Health Policy Fellowship, received her master's degree in public health from the University of California, Berkeley.
