Kian Azimpoor, J.D., is an attorney with Foley Hoag, LLP, in Washington, D.C., where he advises a broad range of health care providers, life sciences companies, medical device manufacturers, and payers on complex federal and state legal and regulatory matters. He guides clients through legal and regulatory challenges involving federal agencies. He also helps biopharmaceutical drug manufacturers navigate state policies, laws, and regulations to access commercial and Medicaid markets and ensure compliance with federal and state laws. Prior to joining Foley Hoag, Azimpoor worked at the MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, where he helped conduct clinical care trials involving cancer patients battling lymphoma, leukemia, and septic shock. In this capacity, he served on the editorial team of Oncologic Critical Care, the first textbook published on the subject. He also worked as a congressional staffer and later as a law clerk in the U.S. House of Representatives. Azimpoor earned a J.D. with honors from the George Washington University Law School, where he was a George Washington Scholar and a Thurgood Marshall Scholar with a health law concentration.
