Lawrence P. Casalino, M.D., Ph.D., is the Livingston Farrand Professor in the Department of Healthcare Policy and Research at Weill Cornell Medical College. His major interest is in comparative effectiveness research focused on the health care delivery system. He works on projects that seek to define the demography of physician practices in the United States, to describe the processes used by practices to improve care, and to analyze which factors are related to increased use of such processes. Dr. Casalino received his medical degree from the University of California, San Francisco, and his doctorate in health services research from the University of California, Berkeley.
