Sean Slone

Sean Slone is a senior policy analyst at the Council of State Governments (CSG). In 2021, he staffed an advisory group of state policymakers to produce a resource guide on mental health policy. He also developed the programs for two Medicaid policy events for state officials. In 2019 and 2020, he staffed subcommittees for two national task forces that generated national reports on health policy and the future of work. Previously, as CSG’s director of transportation and infrastructure Policy, he organized transportation-related convenings in Washington, D.C. and around the country. A journalist by training, his career also has included a decade as a producer for C-SPAN and five years as a producer and reporter for Kentucky Educational Television. He has a master’s degree in journalism from Northwestern University.
