The federal statistical office of Switzerland reports health care expenditures increased from 2013 to 2014 by 2.8 percent, to 71.2 billion Swiss francs. This is below the five-year trend of 3.3 percent. Health care expenditures as a percentage of GDP rose to 11.1 percent, an average of 724 Swiss francs per month per resident.
