NHS Digital announced a series of technological developments designed to improve patient experiences. For example, wi-fi will be rolled out in secondary care organizations starting in the summer of 2017 and patients will be able to download their general practitioner records directly from the NHS website by September 2017. In addition, a series of local projects will be funded through the second phase of the NHS’ Widening Digital Participation program, which aims to reduce inequities in health by increasing digital literacy among older adults, people with disabilities, and low-income populations.
