There are many opportunities to align state and federal payment reform initiatives to bolster efforts to promote high-value care, according to a new report from the National Academy for State Health Policy. The report draws on recommendations made during a Commonwealth Fund–supported meeting involving policymakers from eight states and several key federal agencies, including the Center for Medicare and Medicaid Innovation and the Office of the National Coordinator for Health Information Technology.
