The 2016 Princeton Conference, to be held May 24- 26, will be guided by a general focus on the challenges to reform in health care, as well as existing opportunities for progressive change to the system. It will focus not only on the policies and regulations being instituted at national, state, and organizational levels, but the actions and measures being taken by public and private sector players to implement these healthcare reforms. The conference will seek to capture the transformations occurring in the US health care system, as well as remaining obstacles to system change and hopes to answer the question, “What aspects of the health care system are posing the greatest opportunities for or challenges to improvement?” Speakers are among the most respected health policy thinkers in the United States—including Fund grantees and staff—and their work and opinions routinely influence events at the levels of policy and of care delivery. The Princeton Conference has the capacity to generate meaningful and applicable recommendations for policy evolution and implementation, and the capacity to indirectly effect change within the US health care system. The chair and director of the Council make an effort to maintain a list of invitees which evolves each year to include relevant health care experts, from leading researchers and analysts, to top consultants and preeminent industry representatives.
