The Manatt team will estimate the fiscal impact of expanding Medicaid in Mississippi to inform evolving discussions around expansion and provide a framework for assessing the impact of Medicaid expansion in other nonexpansion states. Through this analysis, they will quantify the net fiscal impact associated with expanding Medicaid by estimating state costs as well as offsetting savings and revenue increases. Additionally, Manatt will estimate the number of individuals likely to gain health care coverage as a result of expansion. The analysis will be summarized in an issue brief and disseminated to key stakeholders in Mississippi.
