This project will organize and offer a Health Equity Summit. The Summit will be offered over four days and will present a mix of plenary and up to 40 one-hour concurrent sessions featuring a faculty of up to 150 national experts in relevant fields. The Summit will be offered live online and archived to be available on demand thereafter. To organize the summit, Health Care Conference Administrators, in conjunction with the Commonwealth Fund, will create and staff (primarily by Susan Dentzer and Peter Grant) a representative planning committee made up of diverse members with expertise in health care system and policy, health equity, and health disparities. Potential topics for consideration include: Black Americans on Mental Health, Trauma, and Resilience; Advancing Equity by Investing in America's Health Care Safety Net; and Academic Medicine and Black Lives Matter: Time for Deep Listening Racial Bias in Flexner Report Permeates Medical Education Today. The topics also will incorporate focus areas of the Commonwealth Fund's Health Equity Action Fund across policy, systems, data, and values.
