<p>New information from the federal government and reported widely shows that many of the 10 million Americans who get their insurance in the Affordable Care Act’s marketplaces will face substantial premium increases in 2017. Tomorrow, The Commonwealth Fund looks at a different group: the 154 million people—more than half the population—who are covered under job-based insurance.</p><p>The new brief examines national and state trends in the cost of employer health insurance premiums and deductibles faced by U.S. businesses, employees, and families. Controlling insurance costs and making health care more affordable for all Americans will be a major challenge for the next administration.</p>
