Commonwealth Fund Grantees Receive Awards at AcademyHealth
Commonwealth Fund grantee Ashish Jha, M.D., M.P.H., received the Alice S. Hersh New Investigator Award today at the AcademyHealth Annual Research Meeting in Washington, D.C.
The Alice Hersh award recognizes scholars early in their careers as health services researchers who show exceptional promise for future contributions to the field. Dr. Jha is an assistant professor of health policy at the Harvard School of Public Health, assistant professor of medicine at Harvard Medical School, and staff physician at VA Boston Healthcare System and Brigham and Women's Hospital.
Two other Fund grantees were recognized for their work: David Blumenthal, M.D., M.P.P., received the 2008 Distinguished Investigator Award and J. Michael McWilliams, M.D., received AcademyHealth's Dissertation Award.
