Join key policymakers and researchers for The Commonwealth Fund's Building Bridges: Making a Difference in Long-Term Care 2009 Policy Seminar. This event — conducted by AcademyHealth — will be held February 4, 2009, from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., at the JW Marriott in Washington, D.C.

Tamara Konetzka, Ph.D., University of Chicago, will discuss existing disparities in long-term care and highlight related policy issues and solutions. Following will be a discussion providing real-world insight about disparities in long-term care, as well as policy recommendations that take into account provider-, state-, and federal-level concerns. Mauro Hernandez, CEO of Concepts in Community Living, Inc., and Carol Zernial, director of the Bexar Area Agency on Aging in San Antonio, Texas, will serve as discussants.
