Join the Disparities Interest Group Meeting
<p>Join your fellow researchers, practitioners, and advocates to advance efforts in improving racial and ethnic equality in health care at the Commonwealth Fund-sponsored inaugural meeting of the <a href="http://www.academyhealth.org/interestgroups/disparities/2007.htm">Dispa… Interest Group</a> on June 5 in Orlando, following AcademyHealth's Annual Research Meeting.<Br><br>Anne C. Beal, M.D., M.P.H., senior program officer for The Fund's Program on the Quality of Care for Underserved Populations, will serve as the discussant in the session, "How Can Health Care Systems Change? From Inertia to Action in Reducing Disparities in Patient Care." Panelists are Fund grantee Robert J. Weech-Maldonado, Ph.D., M.B.A., of the University of Florida, and Lynn Perry Wooten, Ph.D., M.B.A., of the University of Michigan.<br><br>The meeting will be held from 3:00 p.m.–6:00 p.m. at the Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin.
