Commonwealth Fund President Karen Davis will deliver a keynote speech at the National Pay for Performance Summit, sponsored by the Integrated Healthcare Association. The event is the leading forum to discuss pay-for-performance strategies that promote health care access, quality, and efficiency. The California-based Integrated Healthcare Association operates the largest non-governmental physician incentive program in the United States, providing medical groups with financial rewards based on performance against quality benchmarks.

Presentations, panel discussions, and case studies at the 2010 summit will explore key policy issues and practical challenges for implementing pay for performance, its potential to achieve meaningful improvements in quality and efficiency, and its influence on health care delivery. It also will feature new payment methods within the context of broader health care payment reform.

The National Pay for Performance Summit will take place March 8–10, 2010, at the Hyatt Regency San Francisco Hotel. Karen Davis' keynote speech, "Bending the Curve on Health Care Inflation," will take place on Wednesday, March 10, at 8:00 am. For more information or to register, visit the National Pay for Performance Summit Web site.
