New Well-Child Care Resources
<p>We'd like to remind you of two new Commonwealth Fund-supported well-child care resources, including two webcasts available for continuing medical education (CME) credit.<br><br>An Oct. 26 Web conference hosted by Medscape, <a href="http://www.medscape.com/viewprogram/6101">"Screening for Maternal Depression: An Opportunity for Providers of Pediatric Healthcare,"</a> is now archived on the Medscape Web site. This CME/CE event features Ardis Olson, M.D., and Allen Dietrich, M.D., both of Dartmouth Medical School. For a list of screening tools Dr. Olson discussed during the conference, visit the <a href="/topics/topics_show.htm?doc_id=416724">Fund Web site.</a> A July 26 webcast, <a href="http://www.medscape.com/viewprogram/5719">"Child Behavior Screening in Primary Care,"</a> is also available for CME credit on Medscape.<br><bR>In addition, a new online manual, <a href="/cnlib/pub/enews_clickthrough.htm?enews_item_id=25074&return_url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww%2Ecmwf%2Eorg%2FGeneral%2FGeneral%5Fshow%2Ehtm%3Fdoc%5Fid%3D381829%26%23doc381829">"How to Develop a Statewide System to Link Families with Community Resources,"</a> provides guidance to those interested in exploring, creating, and/or enhancing a statewide single-point-of-access system for children from birth to age 8 who are at risk for developmental or behavioral problems. The material is based on Connecticut's Help Me Grow initiative, which assists families and providers in identifying developmental concerns, finding appropriate resources, and helping families connect with programs and services.</p>
