<p><h3>Commission of Nation's Leading Health Care Experts Will Release Comprehensive Health Reform Strategy to Ensure Coverage, Cut Costs, and Improve Quality</h3><em>New Report From Commonwealth Fund Commission Will Present Policies and Illustrate the Potential Gains Compared to Costs of Inaction and Status Quo</em><br><br>On February 19th, 2009, in Washington, D.C., The Commonwealth Fund Commission on a High Performance Health System will release its comprehensive health care reform strategy, <em>The Path to a High Performance U.S. Health System: A 2020 Vision and the Policies to Pave the Way.</em> This new report will outline the multiple coordinated steps that could lead to Americans' health security by ensuring coverage for all while improving quality of care and reducing health care costs. The plan calls on the new Congress, the Administration, and health care leaders to work together and take the bold actions essential for achieving a high performance health system.<br><br>At the event, Commission and Fund leaders will lay out the Commission's five essential strategies for reform, detail potential policy options, and assess the positive impact the policies could have on the health system if they are enacted soon.
