I don't know where to begin. The outpouring of support for this newsletter and the resultant deluge of questions for me answer has been overwhelming. Thanks for the love, and especially for the questions. Keep sending your questions my way, it's great to know you're thinking about Twitter! Let's see what the mailbag has for us today.

Hi Social Share,

Lately, my neighbor has been tweeting some really great links, and I've been retweeting them to show support, you know. But I was wondering how can I add something a little extra. Like, a retweet is nice, but it's just the bare minimum. How can I take my supportive retweets to the next level?

Great question! Retweeting someone is a great way to let them know that you appreciate what they've shared, but it is possible to do more than that. Twitter is a social sharing platform. Retweeting someone's tweet fulfills the sharing part, but adding a comment will make you more social. Remember, adding something as simple as 'thanks for sharing' will let the person on the other side of the screen know you're there and are grateful for what they're sharing. Commenting on retweets is good way to introduce yourself to a potential new friend on Twitter, too. So, have fun and try not to overthink it. As you might have suspected, I've put together a short PDF that details how you can add a comment to a retweet, click the blue button at the bottom of this email to learn more. See you next week.
