It's time again for The Social Share, a weekly newsletter designed to help you build your social audience one tweet at a time.

Earlier this week I dipped into the mailbag and pulled out a short stack of letters. Most of them were letters of gratitude, a few were coupons from Bed, Bath, and Beyond, but one contain a question I am often asked, but have never answered. This week I answer the question. Let's read it together, shall we?

Ugh Social Share,

I just can't get started! I want to start tweeting, I really do but every time I try to tweet I waste so much time on the wording that I eventually just throw my hands up and walk away. You need to understand something, there' is so much pressure in my office to tweet! Everybody's doing it. Sometime my friends tweet about me and I can't return the favor because I freeze at the keyboard. How can I get someone to write to tweets for me?

Stressed in LES

P.S. - I have always dreamed of a newsletter like this. Thank you for making my dreams come true!

Great question! We've all felt this way before, it would be great if someone else wrote some of our tweets for us. The good news is that there are people writing tweets for you all over the web. Let's look at The Commonwealth Fund for example.

This site makes it easy for people who want to tweet but have difficulty expressing big thoughts in a small space. Anyone can share these tweets with just two right clicks. As someone looking to start tweeting you you should consider using at least one of these pre-written tweets each time a product from your program is published. Whether the author is you, your grantee, or your boss consider using some of these pre-written tweets to further promote the work of your program.
