Please join us at The State Health Research and Policy Interest Group Policy Breakfast on Tuesday, February 7, from 7:30 a.m. to 9:00 a.m., which is taking place in conjunction with the National Health Policy Conference in Washington, D.C. This Commonwealth Fund-sponsored event will focus on how researchers and state policymakers interact at different times during the policymaking process, as well as effective communication strategies for researchers and policymakers seeking to improve health system performance in their states.
The panelists for the event include:
- Jack Meyer (Moderator), President, Economic and Social Research Institute
- Allyson Hall, Director of Research, Florida Center for Medicaid and the Uninsured
- Richard Kronick, AcademyHealth/NCHS Fellow, National Center for Health Statistics
- Scott Leitz, Director, Health Policy Program, Minnesota Department of Health
To generate a high level of discussion and participation, a background paper will be made available to participants prior to the meeting. The paper will outline the phases in the policy process in which research is used. To obtain more information about the event, visit the AcademyHealth Web site.
There is no fee for this program but registration is required. To register, please send an e-mail to [email protected] and provide each attendee's name, address, phone, and e-mail. Registration for the National Health Policy Conference is not required for this event.
