Timeline for Health Care Reform Implementation

<p>Comprehensive health care reform legislation recently signed into law will usher in "a new era in American health care," <a href="/blog/2010/new-era-american-health-care">according to</a> Commonwealth Fund President Karen Davis and Vice President Sara Collins.</p>
<p>The legislation—The Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act and The Health Care and Education Affordability Reconciliation Act—includes numerous provisions affecting health care coverage, the health care delivery system, and sources of revenue for the financing of reform. Some of these provisions will go into effect immediately, while some will be implemented over the next decade. </p>
