<p>The Commonwealth Fund's International Health Policy and Innovation program is hosting two upcoming webinars on international fellowships. </p><p>Join a Web conference on the <a href="~/link.aspx?_id=0AD08B3F5F0C4293B422288F13C787FB&_z=z">Australian–American Health Policy Fellowship </a>on April 23 at 5 p.m., E.T., hosted in collaboration with the Centre for Health Economics Research and Evaluation at the University of Technology in Sydney and the Australian Government Department of Health and Ageing. This fellowship offers a unique opportunity for outstanding, mid-career U.S. professionals to spend up to 10 months in Australia conducting research and working with the country’s leading health policy experts. </p>
<p>Speakers will include: Commonwealth Fund vice president and director Robin Osborn, who will discuss the fellowship experience and answer applicant questions; Jane Hall, director of Sidney’s Centre for Health Economics Research and Evaluation, who will provide a brief overview of the Australian health policy context; and University of Oregon associate professor and 2010–11 fellow Jessica Greene, who will discuss the fellowship experience. </p>

<p>You are also invited to join a Web conference on the <a href="~/link.aspx?_id=3D91A73F26834A5F8A2220820D22FF8A&_z=z">Harkness Fellowships in Health Care Policy and Practice</a> for Australian and New Zealand applicants on May 1 at 8:30 a.m. (Sydney), 10:30 a.m. (Auckland). The conference is being held in collaboration with CHERE and Fulbright New Zealand. The Harkness Fellowships provide an opportunity for mid-career health services researchers and practitioners from Australia, Canada, Germany, the Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Sweden, Switzerland, and the United Kingdom to spend up to 12 months in the United States conducting original research and working with leading U.S. health policy experts. </p>
<p>Speakers will include Robin Osborn, Jane Hall, and Karen Poutasi, chief executive of the New Zealand Qualifications Authority, who will discuss the fellowship experience and Australia and New Zealand health reforms. Cathy Schoen, Commonwealth Fund senior vice president, will provide a brief overview of the U.S. health policy context. Harkness alumni Mark Booth (New Zealand), Adam Elshaug (Australia), and Carolyn Hullick (Australia) will discuss their experience as Harkness Fellows. </p>
