Jacob C. Warren, Ph.D., M.B.A., is the associate dean for diversity, equity, and inclusion in the Mercer University School of Medicine, where he also serves as the Rufus C. Harris Endowed Chair and Director of the Center for Rural Health and Health Disparities. His work focuses on creating novel, community-driven methods for eliminating health inequities and on providing data-driven policy recommendations to advance health equity. His areas of interest include maternal mortality prevention, opioid overdose prevention, chronic disease self-management, and the use of technology in achieving health equity. He has authored or edited the books Rural Public Health: Best Practices and Preventive Models; Rural Mental Health: Issues, Policies, and Best Practices; and Health Equity: A Solutions-Focused Approach, and was named Researcher of the Year by the National Rural Health Association.
