Matt A. Barreto, Ph.D., is president and cofounder of BSP Research, and formerly was cofounder of the research firm Latino Decisions. In addition, he is professor of Political Science and Chicana/o and Central American Studies at UCLA, where he also directs the research center, Latino Policy and Politics Initiative (LPPI) and the UCLA Voting Rights Project (VRP). Dr. Barreto had been on the faculty at the University of Washington for 10 years before joining UCLA in 2015. He received his Ph.D. in political science from the University of California, Irvine.
