Many states are working with health plans to develop managed care programs that integrate services for individuals dually eligible for Medicare and Medicaid or those receiving long-term services and supports. A new technical assistance brief on the Centers for Health Care Strategies (CHCS) website describes strategies used by Medicaid agencies in four states—California, Florida, Massachusetts, and Texas—to facilitate implementation of new managed care programs. The brief was supported by The Commonwealth Fund and The SCAN Foundation and written by Alexandra Kruse of CHCS.
