As of March 2015, a web-based “core health record” has been implemented for 30 percent of Norwegians and will gradually be made available to all Norwegians. The voluntary core health record contains limited but vital information about medication use, allergies, and hospitalizations, and patients and other users may add additional information. The goal is to make information available to all of a patient’s providers and to promote quality of care and patient safety.
