The Swedish website for eHealth information and services, 1177 Vårdguiden, is launching an Internet-based platform through which all county councils and regions can provide their own health support and treatment services. The platform can be used for online counseling and other forms of communication between health care providers and patients. For example, a physical therapist can upload an educational video or a patient can use a chat function to contact a nurse. The plan for next year is to make video conversations possible. The platform is unique in that it is the first time a country is offering a single online treatment platform for the whole health care system.
