In Flint, Michigan, thousands of residents, including as many as 9,000 children, may have been exposed to toxic levels of lead through contaminated water. In a new blog post, George Washington University's Sara Rosenbaum describes how Michigan Governor Rick Snyder hopes to use Medicaid to expand eligibility for coverage, provide case management to ensure those affected by toxic water have access to medical and social services, and help fund lead abatement in affected homes.
