At a time when federal health funding cuts are on the table, patients who have frequent interactions with the health system provide a much-needed perspective. A new series of videos gives voice to three individuals who each represent a distinct group of high-need patients: people with at least three major chronic conditions, adults under 65 living with a disability, and frail elders with functional limitations. As The Commonwealth Fund’s Tanya Shah and Meredith Brown and Healthwise’s Becky Reed explain, "understanding their problems with the health system as well as their daily challenges provides insights into what aspects of care are working for people, and what needs repair."
