The Central Cancer Network in New Zealand is overseeing an initiative to expand the use of secure video-conferencing for consultations among cancer specialists. Eight district health boards across the country will use the system to create multidisciplinary teams that consult with each other and view test results for patients. In the future, the same system could be used for consultations with patients.
