Previous work by The Commonwealth Fund has documented that, when it comes to health and health care, where you live matters. Coming later this month, our newest state scorecard, the first of its kind, will focus on how well states meet the needs of their low-income populations. The scorecard will include comparative analyses on 30 indicators of access to care, prevention and quality, potentially avoidable hospital use, and health outcomes and highlight the benchmark levels of performance achieved in leading states.
