Coverage expansions and other provisions under the Affordable Care Act will change the financing streams for safety-net providers. A new report published by the National Academy for State Health Policy examines the workforce and financing infrastructure that will be needed to support a sustainable safety net for vulnerable populations. This report is the third in a series based on the work of the National Workgroup on Integrating a Safety Net into Health Care Reform Implementation, which is supported by The Commonwealth Fund.
