In a new report, researchers from Health Management Associates conclude there's room for managed care organizations and accountable care organizations (ACOs) to work together to improve care for Medicaid populations. The report, supported by The Commonwealth Fund, examined efforts in 10 leading states to promote better and more cost-effective care in Medicaid through contracting requirements, incentives, technology supports, and stakeholder engagement.
