Isabel Paxton joined the Commonwealth Fund in October 2018 as grants assistant and supports the efficient and effective grantmaking operations of the organization. In June 2018, Ms. Paxton earned her B.A. in global studies with a concentration in global health from the University of California, Los Angeles. She spent the spring of 2017 at the University of Geneva and the summer of 2017 as an advocacy intern with the Union for International Cancer Control (UICC) in Geneva. During her internship, she supported a review of the CAN25by25 advocacy network, and had specific responsibilities in designing interview questions, scheduling and conducting calls, and writing a report on how the advocates wanted to be engaged and her recommendations for how UICC should facilitate that. While in school, she was an intern and marketing assistant at Be Inspired Public Relations, where she managed multiple social media accounts, tracked potential and current client engagement, and updated their website.
