Shawn Bishop

Shawn Bishop, M.P.P., most recently served as senior policy advisor for the U.S. Senate Finance Committee, advising ranking member Ron Wyden and the health team on bipartisan legislation to lower prescription drug prices under Medicare Parts B and D. She is the former vice president for the Controlling Health Care Costs and Advancing Medicare programs at the Commonwealth Fund. Before joining the Fund, she provided strategic consulting related to Medicare and the Affordable Care Act, including policy development and outreach to Congress and the administration. Ms. Bishop earlier served as senior vice president of research for the Marwood Group, offering financial services firms and others analysis of political, legislative, and regulatory environments, and as professional staff with the U.S. Senate Finance Committee. She holds a master’s degree in public policy from the University of California, Berkeley.
