Affordable, quality health care. For everyone.

Non-ACA-Compliant Health Plans

Trump administration regulations allow insurers to sell a number of health insurance products, such as association health plans and renewable short-term health plans, that don't comply with Affordable Care Act standards.  For example, these plans can discriminate against consumers with preexisting conditions. Increasing access to these plans could siphon off healthy individuals from traditional health insurance, driving up premiums and putting the market at risk. In addition, association health plans have a long history of subjecting enrollees to fake insurance and other kinds of fraud.
